I resqueezed the bottle in the inverted position and spat some yolk back into the bowl when I was trying to pick up my second yolk.
In projects where you need to clamp something and let it dry, it builds strength quickly and offers up to 75% less clamp time than many other adhesives! So it’s basically the new glue of choice around here.
Here are our largest moulding pieces, all cut out and ready to go.. We applied a bead of adhesive to them….…and then we tacked the trim in place using just a couple of nails from the brad nailer..There isn’t really any way of using clamps on cabinets like this, so a couple of small nails were able to hold the heavy oak trim in place for us until the adhesive dried completely..
I really appreciate how this adhesive is clear and not yellow-ish, so it won’t mess up the nice clean look of our freshly-painted cabinets if we accidentally use too much!.So here’s how that part of the trim looked after we got the main part of the mouldings back in place.
Of course, removing the original trim exposed a lot more than just the tops of the cabinets!
The whole vent hood area will be addressed soon and I’m really excited about the idea we have for that!.Also, white houses with dark green shutters are really popular around here and we didn’t want to be “one of the green houses” on our street anymore.. And now here’s how that window looks with new, slightly less fake-looking DIY shutters!.
Just so much nicer, right?.Here’s how we made them in like 5 minutes flat!.
Chris picked up some 1×12 rough cut pine. The roughness of it gives it extra farmhousey appeal!
